Cross country runners earn SLIAC Runner of the Week honors
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) honored two Fontbonne University cross country runners this week.
Fontbonne University sophomomore Ian Lindquist, from St. Louis, Mo. (St. Mary’s), has been named the SLIAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of October 19-25.
Lindquist placed third in a field of 39 runners at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Invitational held at Forest Park. He ran a time of 17:02 on the 5000 meter course, which ranks fifth all-time at Fontbonne. Lindquist also helped lead the Griffins to a first place finish, as they posted a perfect team score of 15 points.
Fontbonne University sophomore Kaitlin Titsworth, from Breese, Ill. (Mater Dei), has been named the SLIAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of October 19-25.
Titsworth posted a time of 21:33 at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Invitational held at Forest Park. She placed ninth out of 45 runners competing and helped her squad to a second place finish out of six teams.
