The women’s volleyball program at Fontbonne University is one of the longest-running and most successful sports in the athletic department.
The women's volleyball team has appeared in the NCAA Div. III National Tournament a department-high six times. The team advanced to the NCAA Tournament six straight years dating from 2000-2005. The women’s volleyball program has won eight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic (SLIAC) Championship and five SLIAC Tournament Championships. Fontbonne won five straight SLIAC Championships dating from 2000-2004.
Fontbonne’s women’s volleyball program holds the SLIAC record for most conference titles at eight. The Griffins also have won the second most SLIAC matches in the conference’s history.
The women's volleyball program practices and plays at the Dunham Student Activity Center in Maybee Gymnasium. The facility holds more than 2,000 spectators, including a snack bar that overlooks the court.
