Fontbonne has been competing in men’s golf since 1991. The Griffins compete in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), where they have won five conference championships.  Fontbonne is tied for the record for most SLIAC Championships (5). In 2008, the SLIAC received an automatic bid for their conference tournament winning team to participate in the NCAA National Tournament. The Griffins have had one golfer qualifying for the NCAA National Tournament.

Fontbonne practices on such courses as Forest Park and Norwood Hills Country Club as well as Tower Tee Golf Range. The team travels throughout the Midwest Region to compete in events.
