Men's tennis earns first victory of the season
March 15, 2011- The Fontbonne University men's tennis team earned their first victory of the season this past weekend in dominating fashion as they beat Eureka College 9-0. Fontbonne is now 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC).
After a day after losing to Missouri Baptist University, Fontbonne rebounded to cruise past Eureka. Fontbonne's Karl Faust and T.J. Eggleston won their matches withouth losing a game (6-0, 6-0) while sophomore Bryton Curtis won his #1 singles match 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles play, Curtis and Faust won easily (8-1) while Eggleston and Andrew Cohen did lost a game winning 8-0.
Fontbonne is scheduled to play Concordia University today at 6 pm.
