Men's golf wins Illinois College Invitational
The Fontbonne University men's golf team took first place this weekend at the Illinois College Invitational at the Links Golf Course in Jacksonville, Illinois.
The Griffins fired a 312 beating out host Illinois College by one shot. Fontbonne sophomore Troy Manzella shot a 4-over 76 to lead the Griffins. Manzella finished in fourth place in the tournament. Bryson Potts and Charlie Martin shot a 6-over 78 to finish tied for fifth place in the tournament. Matt Tuggle and Mike Vitale rounded out the scoring for the Griffins in 10th and 13th place respectively.
Fontbonne will next compete in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament next weekend held in Stauton, Illinois.
