Women's tennis drops opener against Lindenwood-Belleville
March 10, 2011 - The Fontbonne University women's tennis team opened their 2011 spring season by losing to Lindenwood-Belleville University 8-1. The Griffins are now 0-1 on the season.
Fontbonne's performance was highlighted by Megan Schmittel. Schmittel, playing from the #6 singles spot, won her match in straight sets 6-0, 7-5. Molly Miller also played well as she won three games in her #2 singles match and two games in her #1 doubles match.
Fontbonne will return to the court on Saturday at 10 am against Missouri Baptist University.
