SAAC
The Fontbonne University athletic department sponsors a student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC), which is made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The committee includes representatives from each of Fontbonne’s male and female sponsored sports.
The committee examines student-athletes issues on campus and on the field. Some of the objectives of the SAAC
include:
• Generate a student-athlete voice within Fontbonne’s campus.
• Solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA legislation.
• Actively promote Fontbonne athletics.
• Promote a positive student-athlete image.
• Promote and participate in student-athlete community service projects.
Some of the most recent community service events Fontbonne SAAC members have participated in include Fontbonne’s Christmas Around Campus event, Community Action Agency of St. Louis County (CAASTLC) Winter Wonderland event, serving lunch at the The Bridge shelter and volunteering at a local Christmas tree lot.
